Who am I?
After losing my own baby, I left my corporate job and entered the world of healing.
I began my second career with a Diploma in Holistic Aromatherapy at the Tisserand Institute. Then I went on to study Hypnosis, Sound Therapy (including the therapeutic use of tuning forks) and Reiki.
I also became a practitioner of EAM (the Energy Alignment Method) and went through their Master Trainer Program.
From my personal experiences, which include baby loss and losing close friends and family, I know that grief can resurface at the most unusual times.
Grieving is a process, and we don’t heal overnight.
So please don’t worry if your grief resurfaces too. It’s a normal part of the journey.
In fact, if we don’t allow the healing journey to unfold and do it’s thing, then the pain we repress trips us up. The ways in which stuck grief held me back, until I could resolve it, showed up as numbing tactics.
I stuffed my pain down and tucked it neatly away, just getting on with life as far as outsiders could tell. But in secret I comfort ate, drank too much wine, and distracted myself with TV binges… anything to numb the pain.
It worked for a while, until it didn’t, and then it came out as anger, anxiety and depression at various times of the year.
It’s something many of us do, because we are scared we might unravel if we feel into the pain. So we try everything not to feel it.
The way that I work means you DON’T have to go back and relive the trauma.
But what we can do is to shift the energy around it and release what we are hanging onto, safely, quickly and lovingly.
