Join me for a 3 month personal journey from loss to healing

In our 1-2-1 sessions we will work together on making space for you to heal and find peace. Often we don’t allow ourselves to grieve, instead focusing on our responsibilities, keen to maintain enough momentum to stay positive.

But grieving doesn’t need to be a ‘negative’ experience. Grieving is a right of passage for us after any loss, and it’s important for our mental health. We need to process and integrate that loss in both our external lives and our internal world, in order to truly move on with a lighter heart.

Who is The Cocoon for?

When I speak of loss, I don’t always mean the death of a loved one, although that is very much something I do help with. But there are so many other losses that typically don’t get the grieving space that they require, and I am here to change that. All loss deserves to be acknowledged and grieved.

So here are some examples of what I’m talking about when I refer to loss:

  • The passing of a family member, friend, or much loved pet (and pets are family, if you ask me)
  • The loss of a pregnancy at any stage, or a still birth
  • The loss of your childhood due to abuse or neglect
  • The loss of a career, perhaps due to ill health or economic reasons
  • The loss of a relationship with a partner, friend or family member
  • The loss of your ‘normality’, perhaps due to your own illness or injury, or perhaps due to caring for a sick or injured family member

If you feel a sense of loss, and you are ready to begin processing your emotions in a safe way, then this could be your way forward.

What is involved in The Cocoon?

My vision for you is to come out the other side of your grief, rather like emerging from a cocoon. After you have come through the heaviness, your inner light will come back on, and you will begin to reconnect with all that is good about life again.

There are so many possibilities, and you have purpose left to fulfil here.
Our work together combines all of these elements:

  • Coaching
  • Energy work
  • Essential oils
  • Meditation
  • Visualisation
  • Techniques from The Energy Alignment Method (EAM)

I work with a level of energy and frequency. I’m able to locate the stuck energy, honour it, dissipate it in a super gentle way, and then release it. This is really about working with the grief in a powerfully sensitive way. There is a surprising strength in being gentle yet persistent. The stuckness will release in it’s own time.

Think about the seatbelt in a car. If you pull it hard and fast, it gets stuck tight. But if you move it slowly and gently, then it releases.

Having experienced the pain of loss, I know that we can feel temporarily derailed, and we think the pain will never go. Women can feel guilty about losing that pain because they don’t want to also lose that connection to who or what they lost. So we hang on, even when it hurts us to do so.

I know that there are precious few people that they can share this level of pain with. I also know that women experiencing this much pain, have no idea what beauty and joy lies ahead of them on this journey.

You’ll release the heavy emotions that can keep you stuck and prevent you from being the person, you were before you were derailed by unexpected loss.

Who am I?

After losing my own baby, I left my corporate job and entered the world of healing.

I began my second career with a Diploma in Holistic Aromatherapy at the Tisserand Institute. Then I went on to study Hypnosis, Sound Therapy (including the therapeutic use of tuning forks) and Reiki.

I also became a practitioner of EAM (the Energy Alignment Method) and went through their Master Trainer Program.

From my personal experiences, which include baby loss and losing close friends and family, I know that grief can resurface at the most unusual times.

Grieving is a process, and we don’t heal overnight.

So please don’t worry if your grief resurfaces too. It’s a normal part of the journey.

In fact, if we don’t allow the healing journey to unfold and do it’s thing, then the pain we repress trips us up. The ways in which stuck grief held me back, until I could resolve it, showed up as numbing tactics.

I stuffed my pain down and tucked it neatly away, just getting on with life as far as outsiders could tell. But in secret I comfort ate, drank too much wine, and distracted myself with TV binges… anything to numb the pain.

It worked for a while, until it didn’t, and then it came out as anger, anxiety and depression at various times of the year.

It’s something many of us do, because we are scared we might unravel if we feel into the pain. So we try everything not to feel it.

The way that I work means you DON’T have to go back and relive the trauma.

But what we can do is to shift the energy around it and release what we are hanging onto, safely, quickly and lovingly.

Jo is a wonderful, nurturing and supportive facilitator, who genuinely cares about her clients. I came to Jo feeling heartbroken from my experience of miscarriage, and after agreeing to a few sessions, the transformation I have experienced within the space of just a few weeks has been so empowering. The sessions were an ideal blend of talking therapy and practical exercises to work with shifting the negative energy and trauma I was going through. I now feel more hopeful, positive and kinder to myself as a result of working with Jo, and I’m so grateful for this service she offers. Experiencing a miscarriage is such a life-changing event, and there are so many women who truly need this support. I would highly recommend working with Jo.

Louise
I have had a traumatic life since childhood and I knew I had gotten to a point in my life where I needed to deal with my trauma. It had made me a person who did not know how to put her own needs first.

Jo listened intently to every detail of my story.

I can tell you that I honestly believe these sessions transformed my life.

By releasing blockages within me and allowing goodness into me I was able to think clearly. I feel like I am a completely different person now since my sessions with Jo. She absolutely helped me change my life and gave me the tools I had been unknowingly searching for to get me where I needed to be. I cannot praise her enough and I will forever be grateful for all she has done to help me along my journey.

For anyone who is unsure about starting sessions with Jo, all I will say is give it a go. Nothing will change in your life or your thought patterns if you do not give yourself the chance to try.

I felt I couldn’t talk to anybody else about my loss, as nobody I knew had been through the same thing. You have, and you totally got where I was coming from.

I’m eternally grateful to you for all your amazing support Jo. Really couldn’t have got through this without you!
